Call it a new beginning, next chapter, BIG MOVE, we are calling it an adventure. Follow us as we share our big move from Texas (where we were both raised) to Colorado!
Colorado here we come.
11hours and 44 min, 791 miles and we're home. Well, our new home. We are so excited for the adventures and memories to come.
Leaving the 100+ degree weather for the 80s and 90s.
Not only did we leave Texas, but I am taking a break from teaching.
With our new move, I wanted to be able to focus on the kids, getting to know the community, and chasing some new career goals for myself. It's no secret that teaching is not for the weak. I loved working with children and built so many amazing relationships with my former students and their families. I know there will be parts of it I will miss, but for the first time in a long time I don't have anxiety now that August is here. I am excited for the new opportunities in store for my family and myself this year. I am excited to be more involved with my kid's classes as well.
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. -Walt Disney
We are already planning all of the new things we want to try in our new community. Stay tuned for our new favorite spots and all of the amazing finds in Colorado.

Taken at the entrance to Eldora, less than an hour from our new home. :)
Sunday, August 25th
We have already begun to explore so many amazing areas around us. We have seen the Waterfall in Boulder on the way to Nederland, Top Golf with friends, and hiking Lair 'O the Bear Park in Ideldale. We are loving our new home so much, but our favorite part is the way it is bringing us together outdoors.
Lair 'O Bear Park - Hike
Although we did not complete the full hike (the kids were getting tired and it was a school night), it was an incredible hike and experience. The kids did amazing on their very first hike in the mountains.
